Dynamic fracture with a continuum‐kinematics‐based peridynamic and a phase‐field approach

The notion of dynamic fracture with continuum-kinematics-based peridynamics is presented in this work. A geometrically precise version called adds surface- or volume-based interactions to the traditional peridynamic bonds, accurately capturing finite deformation kinematics. point families produced from horizon material points are used construct surfaces and volumes taken into account for these non-local interactions. In continuum kinematics-based peridynamics, bond-stretch damage technique insufficient fracture. Due loss strength internal force densities points, it now extended by new failure factors. Numerical examples demonstrate that proposed approach effectively manages crack propagation, impact damage, spontaneous initiation under loading circumstances large deformations. When results compared phase-field calculations, there a remarkable agreement concerning patterns.
